The CHOICE (Community and Home Options to Institutional Care for the Elderly and Disabled) program is administered through Indiana’s 16 Area Agencies on Aging. The CHOICE program provides home and community-based services to assist individuals in maintaining their independence in their own homes or communities for as long as is safely possible.
The Indiana PathWays for Aging program is a managed Medicaid program that started on July 1, 2024, for Hoosiers aged 60 and over who are eligible for Medicaid. The program coordinates long-term services and supports, including home and community-based services, and aims to help seniors age in place. Eligible individuals can choose a health plan from providers like Anthem, Humana, or UnitedHealthcare. Learn more on in.gov on their frequently asked questions page.
Please contact your Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging at (812) 464-7800 for more information on these programs.
